Oyster Invitational 2018 will provide a platform for local and regional oyster farms and purveyors to collaborate with local chefs to foster old and create new relationships between producers, restaurants and our community. B&G Oysters, and all of us at the Barbara Lynch Collective, seeks to highlight the South End as a hub of culture and creativity in Boston by inviting chefs and restaurants to present delicious seafood dishes. At Oyster Invitational, we are excited to celebrate the positive impact of oyster farming with the community at large and raise awareness to the Massachusetts Oyster Project’s cause in addition to supporting the Barbara Lynch Foundation.
The Main Event!
Just in time for its 10th anniversary, we’re bringing back Oyster Invitational, a block party on Waltham Street celebrating our favorite bivalve. We'll welcome fellow chefs and shuckers from around Boston and pair them with some of our favorite New England oyster vendors to create a “street food” themed dish highlighting their oysters; guests will vote on their favorite dish.
In addition to the “street food” stations, the afternoon will feature curated wine and beer bars, a specialty cocktail station, a DJ and dancing, demonstrations and classes in Stir and The Butcher Shop, auctions to benefit the Barbara Lynch Foundation, and of course, a shucking competition.

Oyster Invitational will take place on Sunday, April 29th rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable but transferrable.
